I am a graduate student at Marymount University for Professional Studies in Teaching and a 1st grade teacher in the Diocese of Arlington. I have been teaching in the diocese for 3 years and will be changing grade levels to 2nd grade next year. Our schools in the diocese all vary in the types of technology available to teachers and students. I will be moving from a school where each classroom is equipped with a promethean board, several student computers and a teacher computer to a school with 1-to-3 computers per classroom. I am looking forward to the challenge of finding ways to integrate technology into the curriculum and prepare 21st century students for a developing society with limited technology access.
